Welcome to Grand Oak Retreat

We are located on 30 acres overlooking beautiful Lake Guntersville in Scottsboro, AL. My goal is to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you can have time away from everyday distractions.

The inspiration for this retreat began on a much smaller scale in 2002, when I began a ritual of going to Vermont with three friends for a quilt retreat. It has always been a time of great friendship, food, and creative work. Therefore, I am dedicating the inspiration of Grand Oak Retreat to the girls of the "Ya-Ya Barn."

My hope is that you will come create your own special memories at our retreat.

Grand Oak Retreat is the perfect location for your next small group retreat, 24 people or less. Our focus is on crafting groups such as scrapbooking and quilting. We also welcome small business and church groups, as well as family reunions.

Reservations are available for nightly, weekly, and weekend visits.
